Update: 4-9-2024 The only things that could make them better would be if they went back to offering 24/7 hours (including pharmacy) and if they expanded their African American hair care section to include different treatment options, specifically detanglers like Mane & Tail. OAN: I experienced one of the most blatant cases of racial profiling by a female employee who looked like she may have been a foreigner. I am disabled and use an electric scooter during most of my shopping because I get fatigued easily and cannot walk around the store. I usually use whichever self checkout lane is open, free and is the closest to the entrance where I parked. During this trip, I purchased a large roll of paper towels and several other items. The lady saw me and immediately got in my face and asked me why I did not go to a lane that had a bigger counter and did I need her to go get me a big shopping cart. When I told her no, I was fine, she decided to just stand at the end of the lane and just watch me. I told her to make herself useful and just come stand right next to me because I was going to need her since I was also buying some OTC medication that requires an associate to confirm my age. Instances like this really tick me off! I spend way too much money at Walmart to be harassed by an associate who is not doing anything but standing there. If this is the way they are going to act, then get rid of the self checkout and just let the employees scan all of the items like they used to do. Update: 1-18-2024 Several cute little evening dresses that were $20 a piece in December, were $5 today so I purchased 4! Update: 10-24-2023 The pharmacist and her team did an amazing job of helping me to get started on a medication that my doctor wanted me to have immediately. The store did not have enough in stock to completely fill the prescription, but they were able to give me a partial dosage so that I could get started while we wait for the rest to be delivered. Thanks! ----------- I needed to pick up medication from the pharmacy and I am always glad that their team members are knowlegeable and courteous. I will advise everyone to double-check their prescriptions and be sure to understand how to verify your own coverage because I had one problem where they added something that my doctor did not note on an insulin script that would have caused me to pay $500 out of pocket for a medication that WAS covered by my insurance and only ended up costing me $18.
