Still the best place to go in our around Mount Vernon, Illinois for any and all kinds of counseling. Ive been a client since 2017 and Ive had to relocate due to the recent Covid events of the past two years. I still maintain Mental Health counseling remotely over the phone. I have noticed no drop in caring and professionalism. I have at no time had to be concerned about the high degree of service I have received. There has only been one downside to using phone sessions only and that is I rarely get to see my counselors smile as much as I had become use to. I continue to recommend this establishment and cant fathom a day where I would ever stop!

For the most part, I thought I was getting good care and service from my therapist. However, the office (or therapist) did not schedule me often and I felt as if I wasn't getting to the root of my problems. And speaking of scheduling, there were multiple instances of my therapist cancelling on me last minute, the office scheduling me for an incorrect time, and one appointment that I waited 2-3 weeks for wasn't even scheduled by the therapist in the first place. If you are looking for some place where you can have some appointments but not weekly ones, this place would be good for you. However, if you are a student, this place isn't easy to work with.

As an LCPC myself, I tell my clients regularly we all would do well to have some counseling. Lindsey Adams is my amazing therapist. I love the work weve done using Brainspotting to process my own issues from the past. She helped me get through some very difficult moments, like when my former pastor, boss, and friend, committed suicide. During this time in history, ALL decent therapists are busy and have very full schedules. However, if you can get in with Lindsey, or any of the amazing therapists at Cornerstone Counseling (even if you have to wait a bit), I believe you will be very glad you did. Bless you Lindsey and team. Our world needs you all. Stay healthy and strong!

I am forever thankful for Cornerstone! This place has been life changing for me. My therapist has helped me to continue to do the hard work of healing from trauma in a safe atmosphere. Empathetic people who truly care about helping their clients create healthy change.
