-I have come to Karina 3 times for hair coloring. She honestly is a cool person that is very free spirited and fun to talk to. She does beautiful work and I have overall loved the hair she's done for me.
-The reason for 3 stars, is because she doesn't provide honest pricing at consultations and extended labor charges always get thrown in at the end. I'm talking $200+ in charges that were never agreed upon which happened twice. This is major money for some, and she feels entitled to charge whatever she wishes for her time even when the client stresses their spending cap. She admitted afterwards that my color idea was unrealistic for the price she quoted ($340) basically indicating that she accepted my idea and provided a highly inaccurate quote knowing that it was going to take much longer and a lot more money than she lead me to believe, basically she took advantage of me even after being a loyal repeat client for her. I feel this is not only deceptive, but it's terrible customer service and unprofessional. Honesty with pricing and consideration for your customers finances when they have informed you of their budget, are simply essentials of a good business and common courtesy to consider before accepting a job. Also for some reason, although I've had similar projects done at other salons, two of my visits have involved sacrificing my entire day for 7.5-8 hours when I was told 4 hours or so. So if you have any multi color ideas and long hair, be prepared for that possibility. She said I am "a cheap and rude customer with unrealistic expectations" and that she's disappointed that I'm "not committed" which was completely out of line considering it was entirely up to her to tell me if my idea was possible, for what price, and the fact that money doesn't grow on trees, so my spending cap has Nothing to do with commitment! She created the quote, not me, a professional in their field should be better at accurately calculating and managing their time. She also started coloring before cutting accidentally, resulting in far more wet brushing and hair damage than was necessary and was aggressively brushing from the top down instead of bottom up which was not only painful but irritating seeing my hair getting ripped at like that. My scalp is honestly still sore. I was also not offered a beverage or anything this visit over that entire period of time and I was shaking I was so hungry by the time I left. She at least offered me a clementine about 5 or 6 hrs in. So 5 stars for color results, 3 stars for time management, and 3 stars for overall customer service. I'll be searching for a new colorist that actually values their clients business and respects them instead of taking advantage of them. I am a very genuine and kind person until someone takes advantage of me, so I felt it necessary to share this experience with others so it doesn't potentially happen to you too. It's truly unfortunate that things had to happen this way. Best of Luck.

Karina was kind, helpful with my bleaching process. She had the products needed for me to maintain it all at home as well! My new favorite stylist, don't bother calling anyone else. (She does melanated hair as well!!!) Services: Haircut, Hair coloring

I truly had an amazing experience at Karmatica Boutique. Karina not only gave me the cut and color that I wanted, her soul was exactly what I needed that evening. I was looking for a place closer to home and this place spoke to me. She returned my call within minutes on a Wednesday evening and was able to squeeze me in for a 7PM appointment!! Who does that...in the middle of the week...for a new client?!!?
I also purchased a pair of earrings she made! I had to stop myself from buying more but will. I look forward to my next appointment!! Services: Haircut, Hairstyling, Hair coloring
