Being from the Quad Cities I did a quick search to reach out to a local CPA about a question. Now I understood that perhaps my question would not be able to be answered over the phone, but I was still going to seek guidance. When I called the man who answered listened to my question, then said, “I can’t help you with that,” and immediately hung up on me. First off, that is completely uncalled for and unprofessional. I knew I might get some sort of a, “I can’t answer that, or can’t answer that over the phone,” response. However, to just hang up on me was a bit much. Given they couldn’t answer, I would have said, “I understand. Any chance you could give me a referral, or allow me to set an appointment?” But, sadly, I wasn’t given that opportunity. Now, given this experience, I won’t ever suggest this place or go there myself.
