Luigi came out on time and promptly cleared the clog in my line. He also provided some great advice on ways the plumbing could be run to improve the performance of my system. Great guy and great service. Thanks!

Work up one morning with a small puddle near the clean out on the waste line in the basement. Roto Rooter came out and charged $759 (way above average) to clean the line. Later that night in the basement floor drain I noticed debris (golf balls, toys, mud) in the drain that was not present prior to their cleaning. These must have been in the line from prior owners. Asked Roto Rooter to come back out and clean the drain under the warranty and original $759 payment because it was clearly not done correctly. They came out and stated they would need to charge again to rod the line. As others stated they hid behind their contract language and stated the warranty was not valid. They then blamed me for the misdiagnosed issue because they stated on the original call recording, I discussed a bath with the call rep. Nothing about my service had anything to do with a bathroom. A Roto Rooter rep never stepped foot in a bathroom in our house. I spoke with three different managers and got nowhere productive. Roto Rooter primary goals appear to be upselling and overpricing service. They do not appear to be knowledge at diagnosing plumbing issues or have the customer best interest in mind. Look around for local plumbers in your area to address any issues.
