        The most caring people you'll ever meet for special needs teens and adults. My son has been working with them since 2008, through a previous program that was shut down by our park district. Jessica and Jenny saw the need of all the special needs families ; took matters into their own hands and opened their own Northern Lights Special Olympics Agency and now Shining Abilities vocational training and life skills day program. Very active in the community, loving, caring, and supportive, a second family for us.

        A really great organization for people with special needs and their families. They have an amazing Special Olympics sports program with lots of volunteer opportunities to coach amd have fun.

        Amazing Organization! Shining Abilities is a Vocational training program that is for Adults with special needs in the Northern Illinois area. Jenny and Jessica saw a need in the community, and made their dream a reality. My son loves his new day program which he has dubbed the "Office". I highly recommend this program for your young adult that needs a place after transition .
