I got glasses and contacts here. I got the exam for the glasses. The tech that does the pre examine before you see the doctor asked me did I want the eye health exam. I said no. She proceeded to tell me that my insurance covered it. Went as far to show me. After I saw the doctor, my bill was $40 higher. I was charged for the eye health examine. That tech sat there with her back to me and didn't say a word. Sneaky and deceptive spirit. When I came to pick up my glasses, a state trooper opened the door. I was the only customer. I thought something happened. The associate in the store didn't say one one word. She proceeded to put up frames. 10 minutes passed. A woman and her grandchildren came in. Another 10 minutes, the associate just kept putting up stuff in the store. Finally, I asked for my glasses that came in. She never adjusted the frames or said come back because they're short staffed. She seemed detached or in another world. I just left. I ordered contacts and got an exam on March 18, a week after my glasses exam. I was told they would let me know when they came in. After a full week, I called. Every time the automated system on the phone said the order was still in process. The system apologized yesterday and said theyre still being processed. Today is April 9. I decided to call inside the store. The manager picked up. She said I was texted and emailed. How I didn't get both notifications is strange. When it's the appointment they will call, text, and email for days. Even on the appointment date. I got a spirit of defense and debating from the manager during the call. To her, they sent me a message. She was so despondent and cold that I asked about a refund. I wanted to transfer my services. She told me I could get one, and that was it. I rode up to the store for the refund. I asked for the manager. This is when I realized she was the manager. I recall her, because the day I had the examine for the contacts ... she and the other associate that bate and switched me for the eye health examine kept looking at each other, as I was being helped by the girl who ordered my contacts on the 18th. I got a mean girl spirit from them. I'm talking to her in the store. The manager is just giving me this demonic look. Nothing. The associate that ordered my contacts is here today, too. She responding for the manager I'm talking to. So now I'm in this locked store with two people offering me NO help. The devil may have cared, but not these two. When I asked to just give me my contacts, the manager talks. She told me she already returned it when we were on the phone. She told me if I want contacts, that I will need to wait two months for the insurance to get the return of funds. She did or said nothing else. The other associate would answer when I asked the manager questions. When she kept starring at me like she's going to take me out, I brought up her looking at me saying nothing. The other associate kept talking and defending her. I told her that I've been in customer service since 1987. Her defending her associate for not addressing the problem is not what customer is about. I told them this mean girl stuff has to stop. They have been snarky and deceptive whenever I saw them. I told the manager that I understand she may be going through something, and if she knew me she would know I can help. I'm old enough to be their mothers. But she was so unnecessarily mean, cold, and despondent. The second time I'm seeing her do this. No one was mean to them. I'm frustrated because they did nothing to help me. I voiced this concern to another Visionworks. They're giving me pair for the month, until my insurance gets the refund. Turns out, it does not take TWO months for the insurance to kick back in. The manager at Homewood never offered me that to keep my business. Order has been there since 03/20/2024. My experience during the time I got my glasses was not with them. Only the eye tech that does the pre test. I want my refund for the $40. She totally lied. She knew my insurance wasn't going to cover it beforehand. Watch out for her.
