How long can you wait in an immediate care facility? When you bring your sick child just to check if he/she needs antibiotics you could get sick while your waiting. Their reason is they dont have enough room. I dont care why it is- I would drive to another state or fly to another country in 3 hours. If you have to go back to work or another appointment afterwards forget about it because you cant. You are late to everything. This is the 3rd time we were there. All 3 times I had to wait more than 3 hours. This is ridiculous and for sure last time. Horrible service! I wish there was an option for 0 stars. The test results were all negative but to be cautious they will send the results to a lab. They said the results will come in 3 days : ))))) Unbelievable! Really IMMEDIATE!

I have had fantastic care the three times I've gone here - two of which I didn't have an appointment. I'm seen promptly. A MD or DO comes in after the nurse. Takes the time I need to answer any questions. I wish I could make this my primary care doctor.

Despite it being 4:30 with a closing time of 7:30, they turned me away because I didnt have a reservation and were not taking walk-ins. They advised me to come back in the morning, but was not guaranteed to be seen. I asked if I could make an appointment, and they said they werent accepting appointments for the following day. It felt needlessly difficult and infuriating because Im pretty sure I have strep throat and a double ear infection, so I suffered all night with no real reason to. The receptionists blamed management for not allowing anyone else to be seen, and said if its bad enough, I should go to the emergency room. If I went to the ER for something that can be handled at an urgent care clinic like the one I went to, Id be waiting all night. I will never go back to glenviews location. Rude customer service, and they definitely made it abundantly clear they did not want to help me. Avoid at all costs, youll be wasting your time and your money. Id be better off getting antibiotics from Amazon.

My mom got bitten by a cat so after thoroughly cleaning the wound I drove her to the Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care Glenview office to get prophylactic antibiotics. The Nurse Practitioner that saw my mom was not only ignorant of the proper protocol for serious cat bites but was also incredibly condescending. This was a deep, penetrating bite that gushed blood for several minutes. It wasn't a playful nibble; it was a hard bite that sunk the full length of the canines into my mom's forearm. We explained this to the NP several times. On the surface, it looked unassuming (think snake bite) but any medical professional worth their salt knows that the danger comes from the bacteria that gets pushed deep into the tissue, not from the torn tissue. This NP lectured us for several minutes about the dangers of dog bites, and how this cat bite didn't look bad at all (I'm not sure she understood what a puncture wound is). I work with cats, so I tried to explain why I was worried for my mom, but she was so dismissive that she actually had me wondering if I was in the wrong (spoiler alert: I wasn't. We went to a different doctor who immediately agreed antibiotics were called for). tl;dr Nurse practitioner didn't know the protocol for deep, penetrating cat bites and instead of asking a doctor, she lectured us about the 'real' danger: dog bites.
