I partnered with one of the therapists of Functional & Sports Performance, RJ, in 2019, as I had lost the ability to move one of my arms. When I discussed the problem, he went straight to work, networking with their resources to create a personal plan for my physical therapy, and during the next appointment, we began to implement it. He worked with me one-on-one, teaching me each and every exercise, reviewing my form, and providing feedback to improve. Any questions I had, RJ was always understanding and provided thorough clarity. Each session showed improvement over time, and on the last one, full-range of motion was restored in that arm, being able to do everything with it once again. I have been a patient of RJ on an off over the years. He is passionate about his work and is always up to date on the latest PT methods. I have found his approach to be more "complete" compared to others, who typically do not do a lot of hands on work, try to manage multiple patients at the same time, and simply tell you to do exercises. RJ incorporates a variety of tools and techniques. I highly recommend him.

I injured my right knee doing yardwork and thought the pain would go away. After a month or so it got so bad I had to go to an orthopedic doctor. After an exam and x-rays it was found that I had arthritis in my right knee. I had also injured it doing too much yardwork. I went to a few sessions with physical therapists and I still had the pain, so I did get a Cortizone shot. I was given more time with physical therapists. R.J. was my main PT for weeks and weeks. He tried all kinds of stretches and exercises to pinpoint which ones were going to do the best job and make my pain go away. He gave me sheets describing exercises that I could do at home to help. RJ always asked me about where my pain was at that time and listened to me. R.J. never gave up. He encouraged me. He told me it was going to be OK. Of course we became friends. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is a kind compassionate person who really knows what hes doing.

RJ was great and helped me tremendously with my neck and upper back. He is very kind and understanding and explains exactly what hes going to do and what exercises need to be done. I highly recommend him!
