Im so thankful a friend who had had a successful full knee replacement had recommended Dr. Sutphen to me. I had been suffering from knee pain for several years and it was getting to the point that it was hard to play with my grand children or travel. Dr.Sutphen explained exactly what the problem was with my joint and how he would do robotic assisted surgery to replace it. He gave me a packet of information to read before the procedure along with recommending that I read Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster by Peggy Huddleston. I read and did exactly as the doctor recommended and I am beyond thrilled with my surgery outcome. I had the surgery as an outpatient and Dr. Sutphen and his team were top notch, I was up walking and doing steps shortly after surgery and home recovering by early evening. Dr. Sutphen schedules a home nurse to visit the first day at home and the nurse along with a physical therapist did home visits for two weeks. It was so helpful. I was getting around very well right away. Again I followed all instructions from taking all of the meds along with all of the recommended exercises and icing. I used the walker for a few days then switched to a cane that I only needed for a week or so as I was walking so well right away. I have now completed 8 weeks of physical therapy and have exceeded all the markers. I continue to ice my knee as recommend. Honestly I have felt really so great since three days after the surgery, and now at 8 weeks I am back to my regular activities, stairs are no longer an issue. We will be leaving on a 10 day vacation and Im excited to be able to walk and climb stairs again pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Sutphen, he is a truly gifted doctor and has wonderful before and after care. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dr. Sutphen and his team treated me with care and compassion. As a very anxious patient, Dr. Sutphen took the time to listen to my concerns, educate me about my diagnosis, and discuss treatment options. When I eventually was ready for surgery, his team fully prepared me with a folder with a lot of important information and follow up phone calls to make sure I was able to secure medications and equipment. Dr. Sutphen personally contacted me the night before my surgery and multiple times after my surgery. I am nine weeks post surgery and I can honestly say that Dr. Sutphen performed a successful surgery. I am so glad I was recommended to Dr. Sutphen, as he not only is an excellent surgeon, but he is personable and truly cares for his patients.
