Carlsons came highly recommended to me, so I was extremely disappointed to have the experience that I just did. Karen was rude and condescending, as without even knowing my budget, Karen treated me as though I could not afford my carpet selection. If I had not had such a difficult time finding a product I liked elsewhere, I would have walked out after only minutes of my interaction with Karen. Despite her level of service, I requested to take home a sample of the product I liked. Karen asked when I could return the sample, in which I responded next Saturday (one week from today), and she told me she would like it back sooner. My husband and I love the product for our home, so will be returning the sample and finding it elsewhere for purchase.

Took 6 months and multiple calls to actually get my carpet installed after paying in January. Couldn't get a call back from them or even an email update without me having to call and speak to multiple people. Finally got the owner who then called me back and just was short, rude and seemed annoyed. I'm so sorry I inconvenienced this company with my business. THANK GOD I chose to only do a small carpeted stair case and not my entire 2nd floor project with them. Lesson learned. In the end the carpet is beautiful but that has nothing to do with Carlson - they didn't manufacture it they just ordered it and apparently kept it in storage for months and wasted my time having to track them down for the install.

Carlsons Floors is a first class business through and through. Exceptional quality of products combined with exceptional craftsmanship led to an exceptional experience overall. We used Carlsons for a major renovation on our home including master bath, kitchen, flooring and more! While the majority of reviews are from customers who had no problems at all, I think prospective customers will find value in hearing about our experience. We actually did experience a problem with a leaking master shower post reno. Carlsons Floors jumped into action and was here every day diagnosing the problem and prioritizing the fix. Very classy ownership team, exceptional leadership by their general foreman (Bill), high level consulting by Karen and an incredible team of installers overall! Its easy to make commitments, its another thing to abide by them. Id trust the Carlsons team with your next project any time, I know we certainly will be!

DO NOT USE CARLSON'S FLOORING !!!About 6 months after we moved into our "new" home in St Charles, we wanted to update the kitchen by replacing the existing backsplash.  We hired Carlson's Flooring to do the work.  On March 23, 2021, the crew came out to remove the backsplash.  The next morning,  as I was waiting for the crew from Carlson's to come to do the install, my stone range hood came crashing down from the wall, broke the kitchen island, damaged the range and barely missed my dog and me.  It was terrifying.  The Carlson's team and manager then arrived at my home and were as shocked as I was.  They removed the broken stone hood and the granite island top and debris and put a piece of plywood on the island top.  Even though my kitchen was destroyed, I was thankful no one was hurt.  I understand accidents happen and , as long as they would rectify the damage in a timely manner, I wasn't going to be too upset.  Carlson's manager , Josh Miller, assured me Carlson's would make me whole and, of course, make sure the damage was repaired and that he would immediately contact their insurance carrier.  Over the next two months, I continually reached out to Mr Miller and, except for a few vague responses, he pretty much ghosted me.  At this point, my kitchen was not useable, except for the microwave oven, which was in the island and also damaged but still worked.  This incident caused over $50,000 in damages to my home.  After 6 months of no communication and no attempts to "make me whole", Carlson's insurance company notified us that they are denying the claim.  They are arguing that the range hood must not have been installed properly.  The hood had been in place for 14 years and we had just had a home inspection 6 months prior when we bought the home.  There were no concerns surrounding the range hood whatsoever .  Their crew was under and around the hood all day using heavy machinery to remove the existing backsplash.  But, they are denying any responsibility .  Sometimes, unfortunate accidents happen . What sets businesses apart, is the integrity and honesty with how they conduct their business.  Carlson's Flooring is apparently lacking in this department and I would absolutely never use them again and I should have read reviews before hiring them.  Apparently, I am not the only customer who is disappointed with them based on their overall rating.  This company destroyed my kitchen and assumed no responsibility when they very well knew that this was their fault.  They had no problem or concern with the hood installation when they accepted the job and worked under it without any concerns.  I am attaching pictures to give an idea of the extent of the damage.
