Carter's

I am very glad that this location is closing. The people that work in this store should not be working around any age individual. I was there to buy some items for my friend's newborn. I was checking out and Terra, the associate at the counter, was extremely rude. She asked me who did my hair, I have dreadlocks and I am Caucasian. Before, I could answer, she stared at me with a hateful look, and told me that her grandfather had them and he was Jamaican. I explained to her that mine are for spiritual reasons, and that my friend does my hair. She looked at me and told me that "she did not like my response." Then she told me that " she was in law enforcement," which I have no clue why that was uttered... Then she told me that her manager, had WARNED her about me before. I responded by saying that this was 2nd time in this store, in my entire life. The last time I was in there, the only people working Terra, and young lady, were behind the counter, not interacting with customers, on their cell phones. She rang me up, and did not even tell me to have a nice day. She lied about me, and embarrassed me with her harsh tone in front of other customers. I looked at her and told her that she was a very mean spirited human being, and told her that I would calling her manager. She yelled as I was walking out of the store, in front of other customers, "Good call my manager, her name is Karen!" Instead I called the Carter's cooperate office, in tears. They were appalled at what I had experienced. I am actually going to do a follow up call with them, and possibly seek litigation, for being discriminated against and publically humiliated, by a person, that did not like my response, to a question that they never wanted an answer for in the first place.

After not shopping for awhile in the Geneva Carters store on Randall Rd. because of the way I was treated in the past, I decided to give it another chance.  The 2 blonde managers are never friendly and never say hello.  They act put out when you ask them a question.  I spend hundreds of dollars a year on Carter's clothes for my grandchildren.  I had to return a bunch of clothes and reorder because they were the wrong size.  I felt like I was bothering them to exchange the clothes that I had purchased online so I could still get the sale prices.  I understand that they are busy, but they almost act like they have a genuine dislike of me.I will not be shopping Carters  anymore.  I live close to 2 other well known children's clothes stores that I will frequent.

Hung up on me twice because I had a question about their return policy ..... which is a horrible policy, btw. Won't be shopping at Carter's (esp this location) anytime soon.

Hrs posted on website is wrong. They close 2 hrs earlier then what the website says.  Poor updates on website.   Clothes are nice if you can figure out the hrs of operation.

Nice clothes but quite expensive. If you can get clothes on a sale it's pretty good though.
