Coney Island

A nostalgic restaurant that if you're in the Galesburg area don't miss it! Everything about the place is nostalgic from the menu prices to the interior decoration!! Although it's billed as a "New York hot dog place, in my opinion it's not even close to anything NYC, it's waaaay more like a Detroit Coney. The famous local area loose meat sandwich, aka "maidrite" which they call a "made wrong" (LOL ) is a very good representation.

Took the grandkids there for lunch. They love it. It's like a Coca-Cola museum.

First time ever eating here and I am super impressed with the menu, atmosphere, and staff! Love how you walk in and are automatically transformed into a whole different era and time. Lots of old knick Knacks, comfortable seating, quick service. Lots and lots of history here. I highly recommend the Coney Dog!

What a neat gem! From the decor that transports you back in time to the counter seating, this is an experience that is worth repeating. Grab a bottled drink from the cooler, select a side, and order any number of Coney dog selections. Cheap and cheerful in an upbeat and welcoming environment!
