Main Street Inn

Great stay. Comfortable, clean, and easy check in. Great follow up and check in procedure from the host providing instructions for parking, amenities, etc. I would stay here again!

Let's get the bad news out of the way. Stairs. All rooms are on the second floor. No elevator. But, it's good exercise! Now, the good news, and it's all great! We booked the entire Inn for a gathering of cousins. Our host was top notch, giving us attention far beyond what might be expected or even hoped for. Each room is uniquely and warmly appointed. It was more like staying with good friends who would want us to feel at home. Lots of little details too numerous to mention that added to the comfy feeling. We especially enjoyed the living-room-like common area. The location is perfect. Most everything within walking distance. But be warned. Galena may be a euphemism for "stairs." Everything is uphill both ways. This little Inn is better than a B&B. The rates are reasonable (we got more than what we paid for). The atmosphere is intimate, with none of the institutional feel of a motel, nor the bustle of a hotel. We highly recommend the Main Street Inn. Worth climbing all 17 steps.

I had an excellent time staying at Main Street Inn. From onsite (free!) parking, the walking proximity to SO many great spots, a cozy room, and clean private bathroom with plenty of towels. Perfect location in this historic building to explore for my first time visiting Galena. Thanks!

Amazing location, love being able to walk everywhere. We stayed in the Rose Room; its cozy but perfect for a weekend getaway. The Innkeeper was very friendly and gave us a delicious cinnamon upon arrival!

The Main Street Inn is a great place to stay. Very clean and well maintained. Having a dedicated parking spot is really nice. This is our new go-to place to stay when visiting Galena.
