Avery on Prospect Hill Guest House

There are plenty of options for a Bed and Breakfast in Galena, and I cant imagine a better experience anywhere than we had. Bob and Cherish were the most welcoming of hosts and have a beautiful home in a great location. Our room and bed were clean and comfortable, Bobs breakfast was delicious, and Cherishs sweet touch of a candy bar provided a treat when leaving and returning. Not only would I stay at Avery on Prospect Hill again, I will recommend it to my family and friends. A truly first-class experience with wonderful hosts in a beautiful home.

Great place to stay for a getaway to Galena. Very convenient location. Just a 10 minute walk to downtown. Great breakfasts. Bob and Cherist make you feel like you're at home. Beautiful rooms and grounds. Rooms: The Lydia is a nice room with a fireplace. Nearby activities: Shopping and restaurants are very close. Walkability: Close to downtown. Don't have to worry about parking.

Amazing bed and breakfast on the edge of Downtown Galena. Bob and Cherish (owners) are warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. The rooms are comfortable and really feel like home. Walkability: Walking distance to Downtown Galena, but far enough that the traffic doesn't bother you. Food & drinks: Outstanding hand-made breakfast every day. The breakfast potatoes are a delight onto themselves! Wide selections of coffee, tea, and candy available 24/7.

What a wonderful find! We wanted to get away for a quiet weekend in Galena and happened upon the Avery wile doing a little research on the area. This was our fist trip to Galena and Bob and Cherish made it even better. The rooms are quaint, with classic charm, extremely comfortable bedding and only a 5-7 minute stroll to Main St. Do ask for recommendations, as they know the restaurants well. Also, Bob loves to cook, as you will quickly learn when you smell the Breakfast at 9AM sharp and the fresh cookies daily at 3:30! Bob is also very accommodating with any special requests or food allergies. They also have a stocked Candy Bar, for those late night cravings! Again, wonderful find and stay. I highly recommend! Rooms: Quaint and comfortable with great claw foot tubs Nearby activities: Plenty of shopping and dining options Safety: Not a concern, location is perfect Walkability: Quick 5-7 minute stroll to Downtown Mainstreet Noteworthy details: Bob and Cherish make your stay welcoming and offer a genuine touch or hospitality.
