My kid got worse after being "treated " in the evanston ER. Should've seen the triage nurses demeanor change and was more aggressive than need be, once she heard my kid wasn't vaccinated. The after summary has discrepancies in it. I'm so upset and worried for my child, wasn't like this when we first arrived to the ER. I am kicking myself for putting that "tylenol" the triage gave. Left the hospital before they double dosed her thank God! But she was so out of it when we got home, I became so worried that we went to the glenbrook location the same day. Advised the hospital that I was very worried and uncomfortable about the first er visit and asked for tests to be ran. Being a sister hospital, of course they're going to protect their own. They refused to run the tests that I wanted. I'm not saying they did something, but something isn't right.

My 3yr old son and I waited a total of 4hrs in the ER to have a doctor take a look at his ear infection for 2mins. There were barely any patients but the staff prefers to be on their phones and feed the crazy people free sandwiches instead of seeing a 3yr old child who is in pain. The nurse then shoved too much antibiotic into my sons mouth that he spit it out. I was told this happens all the time and that my son didnt need a replacement dose!!! My wife is a pediatric pharmacist and said a replacement dose is required if the child spits up more than 50%. This hospitals medical staff is subpar. However, billing was quick to come by and charge me a $150 copay. The billing team was efficient 5/5 stars for them. Total cost will probably be $1k+. Never coming here again even though I live a few blocks away.

I recently had a surgery here. My surgery went well, and the nurses and most staff were so lovely! The facility is clean and up-to-date (I was surprised they even clean the bathroom daily in patient rooms.). Even the food wasnt too bad! I mostly had Anna, Tish, and Slavic for nurses, and they all balanced being friendly/caring with being efficient very well! They were very busy when I was on the floor, but never made me feel as if I was bothering them. Anna realized I had not been given grippy socks, and not only got them for me, but changed my sheets and got me a fresh gown while I showered, as well. Tish was an absolute ray of sunshine and had me giggling throughout her shift. The hospitalist, Dr. Harang, was friendly and compassionate, and actually took the time to listen to me (unfortunately rare, IME). When he was meeting with me he was focused on me and did not make me feel as if he needed to rush off to another patient. I felt like I was part of his decision-making process as the patient. Honestly, one of the best experiences Ive ever had working with a doctor, and I wish he was my GP! I did take one star off for the PCTs, who made it abundantly clear I was bothering them any time I needed assistance. I was told not to leave bed without someone there to assist because I was a fall risk. They also kept forgetting to clear the leg circulation machine after reattaching the sleeves, so it would start alarming a few minutes after they left. Rose, in particular, was downright grumpy and complained I had to use the restroom too often. Unfortunately when someone is on an IV and told to push fluids, that will be the end result. I finally gave up on buzzing for assistance. I used the restroom alone, learned how to manage the compression sleeves, and figured out how to reboot the circulation machine to stop the beeping, because it wasnt worth the attitude from the PCTs. While I have the ability to do those things, the average patient on that floor would just be left to feel like a bother, which IMHO is unacceptable.

Pathetic excuse for an ER. Most of the nurses were rude and showed no desire to help me or make me comfortable despite my obvious pain. I was ultimately misdiagnosed despite asking to be tested for something which I ultimately found out that I had two days later at an urgent care. The test would have taken three seconds but they refused it, instead performing an EKG, chest xray, brain CT scan and other obscure tests just so they can get their billing done and get me out. Now my travel plans are ruined because I'm two days behind on antibiotics. Never returning here again.

ER Did single chest x-ray and claimed heart was enlarged and unchanged from 3 months prior which couldn't have been accurate since that prior x-ray was double view and was completely normal. I asked the doctor about this and he didn't have an answer but said sometimes a single view can make the heart appear larger but that wouldn't explain why radiologist claimed it was unchanged. So naturally I asked if they could clarify with the radiologist and take an additional chest x-ray to get the full view to confirm. Nope. Denied. Instead they sent me out of there thinking the worst causing me horrible panic attacks and insomnia worrying like crazy gave me urgent referral for unnecessary tests (echocardiogram came back completely normal). Keep in mind they were well aware of my anxiety yet still refused to do anything that could have resolved this issue in that moment and instead caused significant unnecessary stress on my body and mind. I reached out to patient advocate number weeks ago and just finally got a call back from the doctor which I didn't get any answers and instead he tried to claim that it had something to do with the EKG and possible left ventricle which doesn't make any sense that was never the issue that was never even brought up at the time I've had many EKG's over the years and they go back and forth with being normal and abnormal based on if I'm having panic at the time so he tried to use that as an excuse instead of answering the questions about the x-ray and the clarification with the radiologist. Although the echocardiogram results came back normal, for months now I have still been suffering from the worst panic and insomnia of my life, clearly triggered by this event. What they did was cruel and at this point I can only assume it was done intentional... Apparently the Doctor and radiologist that I'm speaking of are the "biggest ones" of the hospital which makes sense why nobody will do anything for me to rectify this. These people are unprofessional and cannot be trusted.
