Update: you can see his response, where he tries to avoid all resposibility. Theres still the lies he told concerning coverage. No one has a $5000 deductible but thats what he gave me without telling me. Even if he doesnt control rates, the company he represents does. 1st year $2220, 2nd year $3498 with no notice, and the renewal coming up? $6948. Doubled it. So even if its not him, thats no excuse. This is what has happened after purchasing insurance from thus agent, regardles of "whos to blame".All you folks on here praising this guy, wait til your 1st renewal comes up and he doubles his rates. I was happy the 1st year too. When the 1st renewal comes up, then youll meet the real Brent Hinton. Update 10-23-23 Brent sent renewal papers to me. He is now taking my rates from $3498 per year to $6948 per year. Thats right!! Hes DOUBLING MY RATES!!! And thats with a $4200 deductible. This guy should be arrested. He certainly has no business selling insurance to people. My new agents rates are $2500 per year, exact same coverage but with $1000 deductibles across the board. Wow!!! Id stay away from this guy!! Update: was prevented from changing companies, as Brent entered that I had a claim even though I didnt. That fake claim prevented me from changing companies, but, its been long enough, and I cant wait to get away from this agent. Brent started off great. 1st year over, renewal came up. I was at $2200 a year. I asked Brent about rates, he said "maybe a few bucks but nothing to worry about". So I turned down quotes of $2600 and $2660 because of what he said. FF to 3rd week of January. Escrow analysis shows up. House payment going up $107 a month. I call and ask why. I am informed my homeowners went from $2200 to $3498 with NO NOTICE! So I call Brent, he says "yeah sorry about that". Not exactly "a few bucks". This guy is a shyster. Never again...... Update: had a storm claim, just found out I have a $5000 deductible that I was never made aware of. This guy is a straight up shyster!!
