RE/MAX Destiny

I live in West Chicago IL. A realtor named Michael Marchlet from your Remax Destiny office in Elk Grove has a listing in West Chicago. I drive passed the property a couple times and with all the rain, the yard looks terrible and high. I called Micheal and said, "sorry to bother you, but your in Elk Grove and I am in West Chicago and am a neighbor and this house looks bad. It needs the lawn cut. He stopped me and said "Why call me and bust my chops when you could be a good neighbor and get your lawn mover out! I hesitated and was taken back. Then he said "what do you think"? I hesitated again and just said wow what an a**. I will never recommend you or your agency and hung up. I have reached out to the Owner / Broker, Assoc of Realtors and Corporate Remax.I did contact his Owner / Broker Angie Palazzolo over voice mail. And reviewed this on Google and Yelp. We all care about our neighborhood and have not status on this house. So, I thought I would be pro-active since his office is far away. I did not expect this. I would like a formal appology, no additional contact, and the lawn maintained. I live in West Chicago IL. Ask for Brian Wolf. He has been the best realtor I have worked with. Found my home within the second showing. He listens carefully to what you want and savvy with how to get the home purchase accomplished quickly and efficiently.

Angie was a true professional from our first call and a subsequent visit to our home. She was completely realistic in managing our needs and expectations. We attempted to sell (with another agent) four years ago and never got an offer. With Angie and her network, our home sold in less than two weeks and Angie handled the negotiation process with ease. She was completely available and responsive and this continued until we signed our final closing papers. Her attorney recommendation (Stella Bertakis) was also held in our highest regards. Angie was a pleasure to work with as she didnt leave any questions unanswered plus, doing the majority of the paperwork electronically made this life-event process that much easier for us!

Absolutely cannot recommend this business, especially to people of colour. The fact that one of your verified employees holds this ideology speaks volumes of this branch and of Re/Max as a whole. Photos from this account have confirmed that this is the same Michael Machlet employed at this branch, which has been made aware of these issues and has not reprimanded this employee in any way. It speaks volumes that this branch will not openly and in plain English, distance themselves from an individual like this.
