Update: I am editing my previously gushing review. Fast forward to current day. It turns out the roof installers did not add flashing to where our garage meets the house. We experienced some interior water damage after a few heavy rainfalls. That slipped past any kind of inspection. The roofer that fixed the flashing also noticed that there are several spots where the wood is bad around the roof. These sections should have been replaced during the tearoff. So I am on the hook to fix that at a greater expense now. I would have been happy to address that at the time if someone told me there were spongy sections. I also never received the shingle warranty. Make sure you get that. I am not even sure this outfit is still in business. Their office is no longer located in my area. In hindsight I should have tried to be more involved in the repair process and trusted someone else to make decisions for me. Best advice is to double check the things I just mentioned.

National Adjusters Services contacted us about possible hail damage to our house. We went through them to get the insurance repairs done. Mid America Exteriors did the roof and siding on our home 6-17-2020. The roof was done quick. The siding was hacked in. In one spot, the aluminum facia was installed on over a water damaged, bulging piece of wood. When I told them about it, the adjuster told me they would charge me $800. I pulled of the aluminum and fixed it myself with a 4' piece of board and about 45 mins. It would have taken them 15-20 mins if they would have asked before putting the aluminum over the bulging area. The adjuster told me he wouldn't charge me for them to recover it which was cool. They used left over and mismatched house wrap. I'm pretty sure the window flashing were installed horribly (see pics). The gapping between the Hardie board siding is a 1/4" and the nailing flange is exposed everywhere. I guess actually knowing how to measure is not a needed skill for these hack siding guys. The Hardie board was end nailed in places which is against installation instructions. The blocks that they put in for the outside lights on either side of the garage were rough cut 2 by lumber. I mean come on! The splintered wood was just spray painted white. The DRYWALL screws they were installed with weren't counter sunk and the head exposed. The outlet bubble cover, that I previously replaced, was reinstalled with drywall screws instead of the correct 8-32 screws that were removed to do the work. They argued with me that the screws weren't there. I told them they should have gotten the right screws then. After that, I let them know about the brad nails they had driven through the wood veneer of my $2500 garden window. I told them I would fix it myself in fear of them messing up more stuff. After the gutters were done and everyone was paid, I went up to replace the gutter leaf guards that they so kindly threw away after asking adjusters to have the them keep at least some them. I noticed the gutters were undersized from what was previously on the house. We had 5" gutters and downspouts previously. Also, the roofing guys didn't replace the drip edge so I know they didn't change or extend the ice dam farther up like is was assured they would do. I wish I didn't sign over the check so fast before really calming down, checking and demanding they fix EVERYTHING. Lesson learned. I wouldn't recommend them. They hire terrible installers that just don't care. As far as I'm concerned, everybody involved was just in it for a quick buck. I'm editing because I keep finding more issues/ terrible craftsmanship. On either side of our patio door there is a different number of laps. The right side has only 13 laps without an over lap on the top while the left side has 14 laps. I am completely disgusted with this company. I wish I had found more of these problems before signing over the check to National Adjusters, who got the insurance job. They hired the worst craftsman probably at the cheapest price.
