        Honestly, the reviews on here almost turned me away. I made reservations for my fiance and I for dinner for his birthday. Not knowing what to expect, with reviews saying all types of things PLUS the menu price, I was a bit worried. From the moment we walked in we were instantly greeted and sat. Instantly introduced to our server, and we immediately got drinks. Service from DYLAN was 10/10. I dont know what kind of people left the terrible reviews, but they had to be snotty and hard to please because wow. We made only one comment about my s/o not liking the sauce very much just in conversation and he instantly went back there and had them remove it from our ticket. Food was pricey, but it was good!!! The Vermont cheese and fig beginning was TO DIE FOR. Literally I will 100% be back again AND will pay that type of money again 100% because of service and food quality. If youre a normal person that loves food and good steak and trying new things, give 1818 a chance. Dont listen to the reviews like I almost did. I guarantee you will never please 80% of the people that left the negative reviews. Either that, or maybe they just didnt have a fantastic waiter like Dylan Thanks man! Dietary restrictions: Almost all of the menu has gluten free options. Wonderful!!

        Just had the Easter brunch here an hour ago; made our reservation a few weeks back. Arrived on time and were seated right away but in the WORST table in the restaurant. Everyone being seated walked inches to a couple of feet from my wife and I while we were eating but what was worse was that everyone dining had to walk by us again (often many times) to fill their plates at the buffet. Made for a terrible and disgusting experience. We asked to be moved but in spite of the fact that there were visibly empty tables our server said they were taken. This was not our first time at 1818 but at $115 plus tip for a horrible dining experience it will no doubt be our last. Shame on you 1818 for not moving that table for this event. BTW our server did the best she could under the circumstances and was very pleasant.
