I went here for an eye exam, which was fine. When I went to pick out new frames, Robert Hoefler, the general manager was not helpful. I came back when he was not there and found frames. When my glasses were ready, I said the vision wasnt right. He told me to give them a chance. My vision was distorted and causing disequilibrium. Doorframes tapered in at the bottom like a trapezoid. I came back a week later and he said he would remake them. I asked him to remeasure me to make sure everything was right. He resisted and then finally relented. Then he admitted the optic center wasnt in the right place. When they were remade, I was still having vision distortion any time I didnt look perfectly straight. My car, when approach from the side, looked round like a doughnut. He told me I needed to get used to it. He was unprofessional, rude, and yelled at me. I asked for the name and contact of his supervisor and he told me he wouldnt give it to me and that I could look it up myself. When he saw I was posting this, he said he would give me the contact information. Once I get this settled, I will not be a return client. I simply want to rerun the glasses and get a full refund so o can go elsewhere to get glasses that allow me to see without distortion.

Very friendly, helpful place. I was particularly impressed with the optometrist, Alla Malishkevich, who explained everything carefully and who was skillful enough to save me from a lost afternoon of work due to eye dilation by being able to photograph my retina through my undilated pupils.
...This is an addition to my review -- two years later. I had an emergency: I broke my frames and had to get them replaced immediately because I was leaving town the next morning. Big City Optical took me right away, worked with me to find new frames that fit my old lenses, and made the new eyeglasses for me on the spot. Less than an hour later, I had new glasses.

Dr Alla very thorough and informative during exam; provide lots of explanation.
Ruslana was professional, quick and helpful.

Each and every worker at this establishment is incredibly polite and patient. They are a joy to simply talk to and do commerce with. They are extremely personable, never forget a face and very quick with their work. Thank you Bob, Dr. Alla and Ruslana!!!!!
