Let me start by saying that I am not a super picky person. I understand that things happen, but my husband and I did not enjoy our time at Fantastic Feeling Spa. We purchased the couples massage on Groupon and that was a great deal! Almost $200 less than where we normally go in Lake Geneva. Booking the time slot was pretty straightforward, but our first impression took a turn once we arrived to the spa. The doors were locked and no one was in sight. I called the number and the lady on the phone let us know they would open the doors at our appointment time (which was about 5 mins). Not a problem, we just waited in our car until we saw someone by the door. There should have been a sign or something on the door to wait until your appt time because we would have easily thought the place was closed. Another couple came around and we all waited together outside. There was some confusion on their end about which time slot we booked but then they quickly got the rooms together and we proceeded with our massages. Personally, I felt rushed and drenched in oil and sore from how abrasive the rocks were being used on my back almost like a washing board. I had informed her before starting that my neck was sensitive, but I think she forgot and continued to massage my cervical spine with the rocks. She and the other masseuse had expressed that the day was long and they were tired, so I felt bad complaining and only wanted the massage to be over. After our visit, we left and my husband expressed how displeased he was with the service and how the lady even played with his hair rather than giving a scalp massage. Okay, we had a pretty good laugh about that in the car. Reading the previous reviews, you would think this would be an excellent place to visit but something tells me that the Groupon we used gave us a subpar experience. I forgot to mention, as we were waiting to enter the rooms, another couple were paying when the lady goes The Groupon does not include tip! Remembering this, we tipped $20 cash to which she grabbed it out of my hand and tossed it on her desk with a pesky have a good day. All that to say, you get what you pay for. We regretted not spending the extra money at our usual spot this year.
