    I made a purchase 1/30 for a birthday trip planned 2/15 for Dubai. The day I wore this sandal, 3 hours later the strap ripped from the sole. Today I went to the store, being I only come downtown once a month for an ortho appointment and its the location I made the original purchase, the store Manager Cindye was very incompetent and condescending. Ironically she was my cashier the day of purchase. From photos clearly the shoe was worn once, she demanded a receipt. I found the receipt only for her to read me the store policy. Where in the policy does it say a loyal customer cant get a fair exchange. During this time in Chicago, the weather doesnt even permit for this type of sandal, but when it does I suppose to just take my losses. No I refuse. While in store I called Akiras corporate office and spoke to a customer service supervisor (Christian) who promised to escalate my case and mentioned I should receive a phone call within a day of the district managers (Maria, Flow or Maritza) checking their email. Hopefully they will be of better assistance. Great customer service these days are rare and unfortunately one of the reasons people chose online purchasing instead. -Montgomery

    All the staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. Very positive shopping experience. Fun and interesting selection of clothing and accessories. Great sale items!! Staff were so helpful finding sizes and having suggestions. 5 star service and shopping experience.

    Where was this store when I was in my 20s!?! Such fun clothes. Such weird clothes and all reasonably priced with a staff eager to help and find more things for you. I love this place.

    I love the cloths in this store but the customer service is often lacking. I have been a loyal Akira customer since 2007. I have worked in sales for years and I currently train sales professionals for a large corporation. First impressions matter, people never forget how you make them feel. I was actively shopping and no one asked if they could assist me. There were other customers who were greeted and did get assistance. Maybe the business model has moved away from personal shopping like it was in the past but for a fully staffed store I would have expected at least a hello can we help you. I may not look like your typical customer but what I have learned from experience is your can never tell who has deep pockets financially. I debated on whether to post this or not but you can miss out on big sales by not offering to help everyone. If I was the store manager or district manager I would want this feedback.
