WARNING: AVOID THIS CAR REPAIR SHOP AT ALL COSTS! THEY ARE DECEPTIVE AND WILL GO TO ANY LENGTHS TO EMPTY YOUR WALLET. DON'T FALL FOR THEIR LIES. My initial visit to Pepboys in West Loop was due to my car experiencing severe shaking. To my dismay, I ended up paying a lot more than needed for repairs. However, just a week later, the dreaded check engine light reappeared. Determined to get to the bottom of this, I sought the opinions of three different mechanics in the North West suburbs of Chicago, including another Pepboys location. Armed with all the documentation of parts and labor provided by the West Loop Pepboys, all three mechanics unanimously declared that they had scammed me and performed unnecessary repairs. It's clear that the West Loop Pepboys intentionally exaggerates the severity of your car's issue to coax you into unnecessary part replacements, additional labor, and prolonged vehicle downtimeall in the pursuit of squeezing more money out of your pocket. Spread the word and save others from falling victim to their deceitful practices!

SCAMMERS! DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND JUST CAUSE AS MANY PROBLEMS TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. DON'T BELIEVE THEM. I had taken my car there because of my car shaking aggressively. The repair ended up costing $2000, a week later the check engine light came on again. This time, I took the car to 3 different mechanics in the North West suburbs of Chicago, with one of them being another Pepboys. I brought all the paper work about all the parts and labor that went into my car from the West Loop Pepboys and all 3 mechanics, including the other Pepboys, said they scammed us and they did unnecessary repairs. The West Loop Pepboys will only make it seem that the problem you are having is worse than it really is just to get more parts, more labor, more time for your vehicle, which at the end, gets them more money.

Armed with all the documentation detailing the parts and labor provided by the West Loop Pepboys, all three mechanics reached a unanimous verdict: I had been scammed, and unnecessary repairs were carried out. It is evident that the West Loop Pepboys deliberately magnifies the extent of your car's problem to convince you to authorize unnecessary part replacements, extensive labor, and prolonged vehicle downtime. Their ultimate aim? To line their pockets with more of your hard-earned money. Such dishonest practices are absolutely unacceptable, and it is our duty to expose them and protect others from falling prey to their deceitful tactics. It is deeply troubling to witness how the West Loop Pepboys manipulates unsuspecting customers.
