John Casey rocks the block !

For the amount I pay for H&R Services (close to $400), the lack of communication and promptness to complete my taxes is not worth it. For the second year in a row, I submitted my tax documents over a month before tax day (this year 2/22/2023) and received zero response from a specialist despite trying to message via the chat system. I did not receive any follow-up or response regarding my taxes until April 15, and I think it is only because I finally got through to the office begging someone to follow-up. For the past 3 years, the H&R services have been growing less and less impressive and my stress level inclining. I will say, John Casey, who was my specialist for the past 3 years was the reason I decided to give H&R Block one more shot. Side note: If he ever had his own private services for taxes, I would go to in a heartbeat. He was knowledgeable and understanding of my tax situation and even apologetic with my frustrations. Unfortunately, he was not my assigned specialist this year to calm the far too familiar and growing stresses. I spoke to my assigned specialist this year for all but 2 min to provide my routing number and get generic advice. I felt like just a number and not a loyal customer. I hate writing negative reviews. But my experiences with H&R Block services continue to get worse and worse. Due to the lack of communication and the stress of having to wait to so close to the deadline (uploading all documents with more than a month), I feel like paying close to $400 is not worth it, and I will be looking for a new service when it comes to taxes when filing for 2023.
