Chicago City Day School

My children have been attending Chicago City Day School for 7 years and each year is better than the last.  They love going to school everyday.  The teachers are wonderful,  they love what they do and it is obvious!!  We are thrilled with our decision to send the kids here and are impressed everyday with their eagerness to learn.   We feel confident that they will be more than prepared for High School by the time they graduate, and have no doubts that they will have their pick of schools when they are ready.  I would recommend this school to anyone.

We had a terrible experience with the new head of school. We were given promises regarding tuition prior to paying a deposit, but the administration would only make assurances over the phone and not in writing. When it came time to honor them, the head of school again made assurances in person only, and again refused to do so in writing, and then refused to fully honor said promises. Moreover, he lacked any empathy or concern for my child's well being and seemed to care only about money. For this reason, we will not be attending CCDS again in the fall. My daughter made great friends, and I am highly disappointed and disgusted by the actions of the head of school.

What a fabulous school. My children love to go to school every day. They are exposed to amazing ways of learning. Each grade is better than the last.  This school fosters a love of learning and developes an independent child.   Teachers are incredible and so caring.
