Gas company shut off the gas because there's a leak somewhere. Called them. Andrew, son of the owner, showed up after 10 minutes he said he doesn't have the right equipment and he has to come back another day. He came back today 6/30/23. He could not find the leak. Then he said I have to open up the walls for every opening I will charge $225. So I sent my handyman to open the walls instead. My handyman had one beer in his hand which you put down before coming in. Then Andrew left saying he doesn't work where there are beer. His father, owner, called and before I can say anything started screaming at me. He was outraged that my handyman showed up with a beer in his hand. What's a big deal? It wasn't drunk. You're going to people's houses and people have a drink. I asked him if he can calm down so I can tell him the other side of story. He said he's not interested in the other side of the story. Then he started making bunch of accusations and slander. He said last year I used them and I did not pay him. Which is false. Later on he texted me and said yes you actually did pay me in full. Extremely unprofessional. First his son can't find the leak and uses if you're as an excuse to leave. Then he calls yelling. Then he accuses me of not paying him. And he keeps talking about professionalism. I don't think yelling at people and slandering people is professional. I own 25 homes in the city of Chicago and I have never had a plumber or anybody else yell at me like this owner did. Service: Plumbing leak repair

From the first phone contact to the completion of installation, the folks at VanDerBosch are unfailingly friendly and professional. I can usually find *some* thing that could be done better/differently, but I'm stumped this time. You don't need to shop around when you want plumbing work done: you won't do better. After trying a few different things to fix a slow draining sink to no avail, I called VanDerBosch. They were able to schedule me at a perfect time and Jordan was right on time. He took the time to explain the issue and quickly resolve the issue. He also spent a few minutes going over a few other plumbing issues in my home and making sure to lower the hot water heater which was apparently set way too high. I appreciate the time Jordan took with us for issues we did not call him on and definitely recommend him and VanDerBosch.

It took from November 2022 to February 2023 to resolve our boiler's water bouncing --loud water knocks---that kept two unit owners from sleeping --- and could be heard EVEN outside of their condo units! Our prior heating/boiler service provider would say they would come out, schedule it and cancel it, re-schedule, and cancel. We contacted 5 other heating-boiler vendors-- respected longtime companies-all A+ ratings on BBB and other sights. None responded in a timely way. ONLY Van Der Bosch came through in these very difficult times. They are on Chicago's northside in Rogers Park/Edgewater a locally owned company. Services: Water heater repair, Plumbing leak repair

Very professional and highly reliable! Ive used VanDerBosch for years for all my major residential plumbing work and boiler maintenance. They are always timely, transparent and do a great job!
