I cannot say enough great things about Melissa, our speech pathologist, and the whole team at CPTW. My son had torticollis and we started working with Melissa because he started PreK and was still drooling a lot. She provided oral motor therapy to improve his sensory awareness and he made so much progress I was amazed. Melissa is knowledgeable, fun, has the best energy and exudes passion for her craft and helping children. She also referred us to a pediatric dentist to help with mouth breathing and expanding his palette. We are so grateful for all the support he received!

Natalie Berra went above and beyond when my daughter had torticollis. I learned more about how to help my daughter's gross motor development than from anywhere else. I didn't have a ton of mom friends in Chicago so Natalie became part of my village and I'm eternally grateful to her. We stuck around longer than we needed to because she was so helpful and we loved our weekly appts with her so we kept going until my daughter mastered crawling. I couldn't recommend her enough!

Melissa was outstanding working with my 8 year old son to perfect his R sound. The progress started immediately. It is very important to do the work and practice she assigns for homework. More importantly she bonded with my son and created a fun relationship so he looked forward to his sessions. We liked how the therapists worked together to develop the best analysis and strategy possible. Thank you Melissa.

I had worked with the PT Alex Meeske regarding my son having torticollis and we have successfully completed all of his therapy sessions!
I had originally had my son checked out at a clinic near my house but I felt like that therapist brushed off my concerns and was no help. I was honestly worried that when coming here the staff would automatically dismiss me as well, just like the pediatrician and the prior place we went to, but I was reassured over the phone that my son would receive a proper evaluation.
Alex immediately seen the head tilt and confirmed the asymmetry that I also suspected he had . Therapy was then approved and we started the following week. My questions were always addressed and I was never made to feel like I was in the wrong or that anything I asked was crazy. If Im not mistaken it was around a 6 month process and we had weekly afternoon visits.
My son recently turned 9 months, doing very well getting around in his own little way, and hitting all his milestones! Its a night a day difference in how hes looking and moving with the help we recieved from therapy. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone that has a child that needs enrollment into a therapy program.
***I would also like to mention as a black mother I was consistently treated with respect and kindness not only by Alex, but also by the staff that I interacted with as well which is an important part I wanted to touch upon within my review***

We adored working with Natalie Porter. There is no other way to say it other than she is gifted!! Both in her skilled practice of physical therapy, and in her warm nature, perfect for encouraging and connecting with children. Sessions with her flew by. She explained every intervention used to help our 19 month old take her first steps (on her very first session!!)--and also ways to continue learning and gaining confidence at home. The progress was fast. The confidence and knowledge gained invaluable. Enrolling in PT here was the best choice we could have made and we're beyond thrilled to recommend this caring environment filled with the most capable and loving professionals I've ever encountered. I'm a little sad we "graduated" but now have a confident, walking little girl to show for it. Thank you, thank you to Natalie and Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center!
