I've worked with Theo twice now, the first time being my first home purchase and the second five years later, just this past fall. In both cases, she walked me through the process while also instilling the confidence that I didn't have to know everything because she had it handled. She will go to bat for you (which she surely did for us, in the demanding pandemic-driven real estate market) , and she's responsive and thorough. As a first time home buyer, I worked with Theo during the summer of 2020. I chose to work with Theo because she was highly recommended by a close friend of mine who had worked with her the year before. I had thought it would be quite difficult because of the pandemic on top of the regular stress associated with purchasing your first home. But Theo and her team really delivered beyond my expectation! Here are the top reasons why I would highly recommend her if you are interested in purchasing real estate around Chicago: 1. Efficiency: We visited around 50 high rise condo units in the city within 1 month. Theo arranged all of them based on my preference and packed those visits during 5 trips. I came home after every trip knowing more about what I like and not like. 2. Communication: Throughout this process, we were communicating constantly with emails, text messages and phone calls. Theo was always responsive and understanding. I never felt pressured to make a rushed decision when I was not ready. 3. Knowledge about the neighborhood: All of our visits were within 3 zip codes close to each other in downtown Chicago. Theo seems to know almost every building in the neighborhood. She helped me analyze the pros and cons of each unit and it was quite an educational experience for me. 4. Professional team: After deciding on the unit to go with, we worked with a team of inspector, lawyer and lender that were recommended to me by her. Everything was done within a month between sending out the contract and closing. I moved in to my new place only 2.5 months after I started my search with her. Now almost 7 months after I moved in, I am so happy that I decided to work with Theo. It was a joy to work with her because she made everything so easy when it seemed impossible at times. Theo is the best! We have worked with her to sell two of our condos and most recently to buy our long-term single family home. She was so responsive and always made us feel like we were important. As we learned about the selling and buying processes, we asked tons of questions, and she was always so patient and knowledgeable. She normalized all of our feelings while still giving us good advice and best ways to move forward. Theo is warm, funny, smart and so much fun to work with!
