Dr. Kristin Duque MD

This doctor(Dr.kristin Duque)saved my life I do not believe that she is leaving that is one of the reasons why I stayed in the hospital because of her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Duque’s for several years. After seeing FIVE cardiologists who said I had “anxiety”, she ordered a test any of them could have and left with a diagnosis and medication that would make my life change. The NP always has the time to answer questions and make sure I know what the plan is for the future per my appointment, the associates also make sure every call is answered and returned. They’re pleasant, personable, and always there with solutions. Duque saved my life and continues to be a trusted member of my care team. I also want to point out- not only do they run clinic- there’s emergencies, post ops, pre ops, telemetry etc. She’s all over that hospital constantly. It’s easy to get frustrated but try to have the mindset of the person in post op: she was there for them. Specialty runs this way almost everywhere (I have doctors at UIC, Shirley Ryan etc.) I don’t fault them but I understand it’s the way things can be some days. Doctors and staff like this are almost impossible to find. I’d rather wait to see people who have read my history, ask how my kids are, and laugh when scary things get brought up. Fabulous staff and physician.

Worst experience ever with a medical "professional". Was strung along for four months waiting for test results. Never received them as promised. Appointment I waited three months for was cancelled without telling me. Was constantly lied to and blamed for their inability to keep an appointment or pass along my test results as promised. Never actually spoke to doctor once. Was eventually told by Dr Duque's office to go back to my primary care physician to get results. This is a specialist cardiology?! She simply ignores patients?! Avoid this practice at all costs. It was like a Kafka novel. Reported practice to American Medical Association and my insurance company. ZERO STARS.

Possibly the worst experience I had with a doctor's office. Checked in early for my appointment, no one mentioned anything about the doctor running behind, just took my info and said have a seat. After waiting one hour, I politely asked what was the hold up and the women behind the desk, while very nice, look confused and said the doctor was with a patient and she didn't know. After an hour and a half they offered for me to come back to a room, but told me they didn't know how much longer the wait would be. I told them I had another appointment and couldn't wait much longer. 2 hours into my wait they let me know their was still one person ahead of me. At no point, was I apologize to or offered an explanation. I waited 15 more minutes, at that point, I was putting on my jacket when the Nurse Practitioner came into the room and tried to convince me to stay, she didn't apologize or offer any sort of explanation. Then tried to get me to make another appointment, why would I make another appointment when they don't honor them?? The office wasn't even busy. I will never go back and never recommend them.
