We are in the middle of a total gut remodeling job and thus far have been extremely happy with our experience. Davor and Derek have been extremely professional and the design team has had valuable input. Patty has really helped us with some critical decisions and we trust her creative, educated, personal, caring approach to our project. We are very excited to see the finished product! I hired Arete for my kitchen remodel. After my initial meeting with Davor I knew the project was in good hands and really appreciated the time he took to walk through the process and offered great insight and recommendations. The remodel included new fixtures, refinishing cabinets, backsplash, new countertops and lighting. We have done a number of renovation projects with Arete before, but on our latest (a remodel of our master bathroom), we had the opportunity to work with Vasi and Ivana on the aesthetic design of the project, where previously we worked with a third-party interior designer on those types of details. This was a great experience, and we couldn't recommend this service enough! Vasi came by the house and got a sense of our style, and then put together some awesome mood boards for the project. She has great vision and was really able to nail the look that we were going for. We then spent a few hours with her and Ivana in the showroom going through various materials. The team helped us pick out details that worked well together, while being mindful of our budget, our appetite for future maintenance and how we planned to use the space. The final project is stunningly beautiful, functional and thoughtfully designed. Given that the master bathroom is a space we use every day, we could not be happier with the final result. We would unreservedly recommend Arete The Art of Design for your next remodel where you are looking for that that little extra oomph. I am very impressed with the design presentation by Arete designers, Ivana and Vasilka. They have extensive knowledge and experience in bathroom design and presented ideas that were not only practical and functional for a smaller high-rise condo bathroom but also matched my vision for an aesthetically pleasing bathroom that is beautiful and modern. Vasilka understood my vision immediately and she and Ivana walked me through every detail of the design options until I was fully confident with the final design. They also designed a modern custom storage and pantry area that far exceeds commercially available closet systems you see on the market and perfectly fits the modern aesthetic of my condo remodel. All of this, along with new wood flooring and painting, will be done within my budget and timeline. I could not have done this without the Arete design expertise of Ivana and Vasilka.
