I just got off the phone with a guy named Salem and I was very dissatisfied with the call. I started the conversation by saying Im just looking for a quote. He asked the basic insurance questions and I answered them. Towards the end of the call he quotes me $150-200. I told its a bit out of my price range but not impossible I still want to shop around. He tried to sign me up and say that other insurance companies will charge the same price. I made it clear that I just needed a quote. He told me he can email a brochure but my email was never brought up in conversation and he hold up on me. I was more unsure after than I was before. Ambetter get BETTER customer service reps.

"Their representatives suck and this happens all the time." - A literal marketplace employee after one of the Ambetter reps transferred me to them for no reason. I was trying to pay my premium on a new plan over the phone because my plan was not showing up on my account on their website. Why would you make it harder for your customers to give you money? This all happened after I had signed up for a plan during open enrollment which they canceled without notice (I only learned they did this earlier this month when I was trying to pick up a prescription) despite me having paid the premium, which they still have yet to refund me for, effectively stealing money from me. I had to have my application resubmitted and am trying to have coverage for next month. I was told I have to pay my new premium before then and they are literally making it nearly impossible for me to do so. I unfortunately do not have the option to go with someone else until next open enrollment so I'm stuck with them for this year, but I've learned my lesson and will absolutely not be doing business with them next year.

It started off well and a few years into it I decide to get the better offer here I am wishing I could have changed my insurance !! Im paying more out of pocket for them to do me any way they want. Showed up to my appointment this morning so they can tell me they cannot see me due to my ins company changing my primary doctor!!!!! Why ????? Ive been seeing the same physician for years!!!!!! Time and money lost !!!!!! Next enrollment Im def changing!!!!!!!!
