We were I the function room. It was ... a room with peeling plaster walls and low lights. And not enough food for our group, about 75 people. Bar had adequate options with friendly staff.

I travelled for business and stayed at the Robey during St. Patrick's Day weekend so it was busy. The hotel was lovely and clean, my room was not super large but was a single queen and more than enough room for me, the bathroom was also large enough for me with a big shower. The people were very friendly and helpful (especially the valet). The roof top bar and lounge on 2nd floor were really nice. I also highly recommend the Robey Cafe. The wait staff there is particularly friendly and the food was great! I had the burger and fries, the chopped salad and breakfast during my stay, but my favorite was the apple crumble cheesecake!!! Great stay and highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, great location. But I cant tell you how many times I knocked my head into the useless bunk bed in a room that was meant for one or two people (theres a double bed too, this was the only room that was available when I booked). I would have preferred to have a table to put my laptop on and a comfortable chair there.
Theres no extra safety lock on the door, which made me feel unsafe (my hotel room has been broken into before with a key at another four star hotel).
Theres no light in the shower, so youre essentially showering in the dark. Theres no toilet brush. Theres hardly any space for toiletries. Theres no recycling bin so I guess everything goes into the trash and this hotel was supposed to be travel sustainable level 1?
I was never offered the complimentary token for a drink that apparently I was supposed to get when I checked in. The fridge wasnt cold. They took a $100 deposit, why? Because I, a 54 year old woman whos here to see an art exhibition, am going to trash the room? Also, $100 isnt going to cover that, so it just ends up pissing people off. Hopefully Ill get it back in a few days
All of these things are not an absolute disaster, but the price I paid doesnt reflect the level of luxury and amenities that I would expect for that kind of money ($267 a night).
