Tom was fantastic. I purchased a house with an existing system that needed to be refreshed. He came in with recommendations and was receptive to feedback to adjust the quote to fit my needs and budget. Once we agreed on a plan we arrange a time for him to come and set everything up. After 2 days of breaking everything down and installing the new equipment I'm very pleased with his work. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Tom was great to work with. I purchased a house with an existing system that I was having issues with. He came in provided a recommendation of things that could be done and then was responsive to making edits based on needs and budget. Once we agreed on a plan he came in and set everything up perfectly. He even delivered a few extras that i was not expecting. Would definitely recommend using again.

I've had other security and internet services out to look at my apartment building but they always seemed to make me more confused about the options than I was before.  Tom was different.  He was really invested in making sure I had the most streamlined, cost-effective, integrated systems.  He explained my options so well that I actually understood what I was getting.  I was using the security system he recommended within minutes to watch what was going on outside my building (the very first night I saw someone stealing a cobblestone from my garden!)  And he saved me a lot of money by figuring out a way that I could completely eliminate one of the Comcast internet accounts in my building and get faster service in the process.  This is a problem that at least a dozen visits by Comcast over the years couldn't figure out (or they didn't want to because they wanted me to have two accounts).I highly recommend HookUp Solutions.  In fact, I would go as far to say that I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't use them because you're probably getting ripped off.

Tom was absolutely fantastic.  He first did an initial walk through to understand what I was looking for (couple TVs mounted, speaker system installation, re-wiring, etc.).  He recommended lower-priced and higher-priced options and provided the pros and cons of each.  He was great about offering suggestions and making things as high-tech or simple-tech as I felt comfortable with.  He provided a very detailed invoice shortly thereafter.  When we scheduled him to come in, they finished the job earlier than expected and, similar to other posts, the place looked clean afterwards (they cleaned up a lot of boxes, twisty ties, vacuumed their work area, etc.).  I didn't have to sit around and watch him, he was able to work with very minimal questions.  He's done a lot of these types of jobs so I felt absolutely comfortable with everything he was doing.  He kind of gets OCD about the way things look so is always looking for the cleanest solution to wiring / installations, etc.  I'm fine with it since my place looks great now.Looking at other reviews, it looks like people were a bit disappointed with his punctuality?  I mean, he was generally punctual, but the guy is busy.  I totally get that.  He was always courteous and apologetic if he ran late or anything.  For anyone looking for A/V work done, I think it's totally worth this minor inconvenience for a spectacular finished product.
