The Jewels in Skokie on Skokie Blvd was descent did not find the donuts I was looking for there. And the Jewels on Lawrence and Central found the donuts, but the lady at the deli was very rude when I was being served by her. I asked for a bucket of chicken and she was just throwing the pieces in the bucket hard and when I was ask if she can repeat what she said she hit the tongs on the metal tray of the chicken and was talking fast and rudely like wanting me to hurry up and leave. Bad customer service.

This is a compact little Jewel. Every section (with the exception of the deli and the meat section) seems a bit smaller. However, I always find everything I need. It's pretty chill; not the crazy mess that some Jewel locations are. The staff is friendly and efficient. The parking lot is on the front and the side of the building. The parking spaces are roomy.

One time they charged me about $20 for ten habaneros when they had a sign that said 15cents each. Had to go back and get a refund. When I went back, the teenager (which apparently most of the staff here are teenagers? Young adults? What's with that?) Feel like they were resistant to issuing a refund and just kinda started to imply that i was mistaken without even checking the prices first. Originally i went back to the register where it happened. The young kid was real smug and rude and said "ohh idk". I mean you get paid to not pay attention to what you're scanning?... Place is okay. Feel like it just needs mature staff.

Catherine in the bakery rocks big time!!! We called for a late pick up she stayed late and put a name on a cake for us and we are thoroughly grateful! Please let Catherine know how much we appreciate her! I love to shop local!
