Szykowny funeral home ltd

My family and I had been looking for a large size funeral home. After looking at a few we came across Szykowny funeral homes. As soon as we walked in we felt such peace. This place is beautiful and calm. The director, Jonathan is just the most sweetest, most helpful, patient and understanding man. I know its his job but he really took the time to go through everything with us and made sure to make our arrangements perfect. We definitely felt more than just his clients and through these difficult times he made everything so smooth and easy. I would say the only negatives were on the actual night of the wake he was not there but had a friend be there. She didnt seem to know what she was doing. The mic didnt work and she didnt know how to fix it. Also, she started cleaning like an hour and a half before our end time. I have a large Hispanic family and they brought lots of food so I guess I can understand why she started thinking we wouldnt end on time. But I told her my family would clean. She did apologize and stop but it irritated me at the moment. And the last annoying thing was ordering the death certificate afterwards. Erika made a mistake and ordered the wrong one so we had to wait another week. I would definitely say that the pros outweighed the cons. Highly recommend this place.

My passed away last week.. As soon as my brothers and walked in to Szykowny funeral home Johnathan treated us as a family member.. Him and his staff are very professional...My mom looked beautiful the way she was fixed. Thank you to Johnathan and staff @Szykowny Funeral Home.

Jonathan and Erika are amazing. They made the whole process easy took a lot out of hands especially when you just lost a love one. They understand the pain you are going through. Thank you so much

My family has used Szykowny for several family funerals, so when my father passed suddenly of COVID, there was no question of where we wanted to make arrangements. Jonathan did an amazing job and was very patient throughout the entire planning process. One thing I would like to call out was the sensitivity and care that everyone who communicated had- from the answering service that picked up when I first called, all the way through to picking up some final items after the funeral. We were definitely not prepared to go through all this planning and were still in shock, and everyone at Szykowny took care of us. At one point the casket we had chosen was out of stock, so Jonathan arranged for an even nicer casket at no extra charge to us. We are so grateful to Jonathan and his team for their help.
