I work in a nursing home and one of our patients passed away. The gentleman that came to pick up the body came through the front door and when I spoke with him about it, he said ok whatever you want me to do. A few minutes later he comes to the lobby with the body and goes out the front door. This is a dignity issue for the deceased and the living. I would never suggest the use of this funeral home. NO RESPECT !!!

My granddaughter had memorial services at Barr Funeral Home. It was a disgrace the way she was presented. Who in the world did the work in her was horrible and to put a raggy Iflannel shirt on her was the worst. My granddaughter was beautiful inside and out. I suggest you confer with the parents not a mother-in-law. Obviously she didnt want anyone to say how beautiful my granddaughter was. If this was solely her doing she only disgraced herself. I came in from Arizona because she is my precious and you didnt do her justice in any way. Granted you didnt know her but I would advise you to use a little of your heart next time.

MS Miller; I am truly sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain that comes from the loss of a grand child. I have had the unfortunate sequence of burying first my dad, then my mom, and then two brothers. It never gets easier. Anger with God and sadness too are too intertwined to separate. Sometimes I think that funeral directors and ministers have been through so many services they may on occasion become numb to the current situation. I have been fortunate to have had nothing but fantastic service and support from Barr Funeral Home. Obviously they cannot now change what ever it was that so distressed you. Perhaps if you take a few minutes and talk with them; it may not do too much to assuage your feelings, but perhaps it will allow them the opportunity to avoid the calamities to others that you have gone. God bless your grand daughter and her family. May they all find peace and solace. I hope these few words may lessen your pain and suffering for the loss of a grand daughter.
