    **UPDATE to respond to their lack of care** The delivery was still late and they did not even communicate to the person that ordered that they were out of what she ordered until she called them to ask where the delivery was. The quality of the basket was not good and they need to refund the order. NEVER use these people for anything, theres plenty of other places in Chicago that Im sure care about customers and take pride in their work. Extremely late delivery and not even what was ordered. Was supposed to be a bottle of Prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries waiting in the hotel room on arrival. Instead it arrived late that night and sat at the hotel front desk. Was a piece of very dry, stale cake, a tart and some pretzels. We appreciate the person that ordered it and the gesture was very sweet, but Henry Hampton really blew it and I hope they refund the orderers money.

    This place sucks and they do not care about their customer's legitimate complaints. My mother was trying to do something nice for my husband and I and surprise use with a basket in our hotel when we arrived. They delivered it late, not what she ordered (which they didn't even inform her they were out of until she called and asked about the delivery since it had not shown up. Guess they weren't going to bother, hoping to get away with stealing someone's money). The cake was a dry, stale week old piece of cardboard from Mariano's (probably their dumpster out back) and when I left a Google review they didn't apologize for their late delivery or the terrible quality of the items. My mom is the sweetest and we appreciated her gesture but they need to refund her because this was truly terrible. Use anyone else for your gifting needs.

    I've always had a great experience with Henry Hampton. I've known them long enough to work with them through busy times and slow times.They've always been helpful and creative. I just ask for designer's choice knowing that I'll get the best of what's available.I highly recommend Henry Hampton Floral and Ilda to anyone in need of flowers.

    You contacted me (the next day..day of event...3 hours before the event), and you offered a "discount" --not complimentary. Given the circumstances, you should have offered it complimentary, but that is not what happened. By that point, your lack of responsiveness had angered me to a point that I felt compelled to share the details of my experience so that others can weight their options. I do recognize that my order for a corsage and boutonnière were not as important as an event like a wedding, however I do expect professional courtesy.  Again, it was less about your failure to deliver as promised (things happen, i get it...), and more about your not communicating with me. A simple text or one-minute, apologetic message.I suspect the average florist shop customer is only interested in receiving their correct order on time and/or to be notified as quickly as possible should there be a problem with the order. There is nothing inaccurate in my comments--nothing. Had you offered it complimentary, i would have picked it up just to make a comparison (i actually found the "half-price" offer a little insulting under the circumstances). I use Yelp to help me decide among businesses, and any comments I make are to help others make informed decisions. One honest, negative experience does not greatly impact my decisions. There are many wonderful reviews of your business. Remember, i was referred to you. But i had a bad experience, and i chose to share it because I think that is helpful to users. I have no other motivations. I wish you well. I just think potential customers should be aware of problems one or some customer(s) have had, and I would hope you would consider handling the situation differently, should it happen again.
