Poor quality workmanship, required three visits & they refused to refund when their products failed to work (despite video evidence). Unfriendly, unhelpful, uncool wasted a ton of time trying to support a neighborhood business, dont waste yours!!!

Gosh, I had no idea how hard it was to find a reasonably priced, custom iron fence shop. I decided to give Armitage Welding a try since they were local (I own a mixed use building in Bucktown) and pretty responsive compared to a few other shops I called with late callbacks. Carmen came out to meet me to scope the project within days, and I had a proposal quickly. We had to delay the project and introduce a change order to the scope, which was absolutely no issue for them. The custom fence we had ordered for our parkway area was estimated for a 2 day install -- they had it done in a single day. And even though they gave me a half month lead time from down payment to install, they called me to schedule the work day in just about a week. Very impressed, and the whole family loves the end product. This place has been in business since 1985... they have everything I need to build my own fence and much more stuff.
