  • Heewon Park

Food was ok, but way too overpriced. A staff's attitude was rude. Atmosphere was pretty good. But I do not want to come this place again.

Update your hours! Arriving at 3:50, when Google hours say open til 5, and being told the cafe is closed was a great way to ruin the afternoon.

Ridiculously overpriced, and they want you to give them your phone number for the dishonest purpose of them being able to sell it to telemarketers. Do yourself a favor. Walk out the front door, walk a block or two to some other restaurant, spend less money, get better food. The Art Institute has a horrible decades-long record of on-location food and beverages. In the past, the cafe was a little bit expensive but with really inferior food. The quality of the food has improved slightly, but the prices have soared $14 to $16 for "flat bread." That's the code word for ridiculously expensive pizza-like stuff. $7 for latte or cappuccino. You can leave the building and walk a block and get something for about half that price. Many other museums across the US and other countries do a far better job than the Art Institute at providing reasonably tasty food at reasonable prices. The Market is yet another failure in this history of the artist to do.
