Best decision I made during my lactation difficulties was to call CBC. I cried EVERY DAY and was 2 seconds from giving up then Iris swooped in and blessed my life with knowledge, support, encouragement and follow-up!!! These women are the real deal. Felt like family- became family.

I love CBC! I had the pleasure of working with two of their doulas, Tayo and Hannah, and together they helped me feel community, safety, and empowered to have my beautiful baby. Cannot recommend enough!

So grateful! I was very anxious about giving birth in a hospital as a Black woman so I had to have a doula because I knew had a lot to learn, especially as a first time mama. Ashley, my doula, provided several resources (books, links, provider considerations, etc.) plus birth education lessons she tailored based on my preferences and questions. In addition to my doula's support, the Collective offered a variety of additional benefits, especially related to breastfeeding. Highly recommend!

I joined Chicago Birthworks Collective in my first trimester of pregnancy (Feb 2021) in hopes of finding a doula who would help me during labor and breastfeeding in postpartum. What I found was a collection of beautiful souls who taught me, prayed for me, laughed with me, helped me more than I could have ever imagined and it was all genuine. I truly found a village in CBC, the doulas as well as other women who pregnant and postpartum are a gift that keeps on giving. I am eternally grateful to know them and call them my doulas because I claim them all. You can't go wrong no matter who you choose. Black Mama's need and deserve to have support during pregnancy, labor/delivery and postpartum! This group was made for us but is inclusive for any mama who needs the support .

Beautiful women, beautiful energy! I had the pleasure of attending a breastfeeding cookout event today and I was so graciously welcomed by everyone. As a pregnant woman of color, it was so nice to feel so safe, embraced and supported by such a dynamic community of people. Thank you!
