What time do they open. It's says 8:00am. It's 8:07 and the door is still locked. The shutters are still half down and no one will answer the door. This the 2nd day in a row.

My recent visit to the Dollar Tree in Chicago left me with mixed feelings, as my brother and I went in search of party cups for a family gathering in a nearby suburb. While the staff at the store were friendly and the shopping experience started off well, the quality of the purchased items ultimately left much to be desired. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a pleasant atmosphere and courteous staff members. Navigating the aisles, we found the party supplies section and quickly located the cups we needed for the upcoming celebration. The ease of finding what we were looking for added to the positive aspects of our initial shopping experience. However, the excitement turned into disappointment when we discovered the fragility of the glass cups we purchased. Opting for what seemed like a convenient and affordable option, I bought a 24-pack of glass cups at the register. The realization that the cups were made of exceptionally cheap materials became apparent when, upon returning home and setting up for the party, the cups shattered into countless pieces as I placed them down. The unexpected breakage was not only disappointing but also inconvenient, as it resulted in a mess on the floor and left us without the necessary cups for our guests. While I understand that items at dollar stores may not always match the durability of more expensive alternatives, this experience was particularly unusual. Having frequented dollar stores in the past, I have never encountered an item that broke so easily. While I'm hesitant to place the blame entirely on the Dollar Tree, as sometimes these situations are unpredictable, the incident left a lasting impression. It serves as a reminder to exercise caution when selecting items, even at budget-friendly stores, as the quality may vary. In the future, I'll be more mindful of the materials used in the products I purchase, especially when preparing for important events.
