RUSH Primary Care - Lincoln Park

NOTE: CHECK YOUR INSURANCE, JUST BECAUSE THE DOCTOR IS IN NETWORK DOESNT MEAN THEY ARE. Review below. I was scheduled for an appointment today on 7/28, to see Dr. Jill Marcus and had completed my paperwork including an update of the insurance a week ahead of time, 7/21. I think all is fine, I get no calls, however when I get in to my appointment, I am informed that they are out of network and that my visit would be $250. Now, what's weird about this is that the DOCTOR herself is in network however that FACILITY is not in network. So you can imagine my distress when I had waited months to get in to see her for a physical and review recent health issues and then I get met with a "Sorry we're out of network it's $250". The only reason I'm not giving them 1 star is because the receptionist who assisted me cancelled the appointment with no charge for me (which is how it should be). This feels very disappointing as I would have expected better from RUSH. Especially since I provided everything a week in advance. Being told before I show up and had taken PTO that "Hey, we don't accept your insurance" would have been really nice. It's sad that I have to find a new PCP but this definitely impacted my view on RUSH Lincoln Park.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Horrible communication and I got charged for an annual physical on my first and only visit. Then they wrote my prescription incorrectly so the pharmacy cant fill it, and theres no way to contact the office directly to speak with a nurse or doctor and I need it filled today. Ill be going back to Northwestern. Edit: Dr. Bisgrove is the literal worst. Do not go see her. She needs to retire. She took 4 days to respond to my messages on mychart and as I previously said, theres no other way to contact this office. Then when she finally responded, she has no compassion and does not care what your needs are.

Would give 0 stars if I could - had to make an appointment 2 months out to see my GP Dr. Joanna Bisgrove, was sent reminders of the appointment all week leading up to it, and then the day before the appointment (after I had checked in), the appointment was cancelled for no reason. I called to inquire why, and see when the next available appointment would be, and they would not give me a reason and said their next appointment availability wouldn't be for over a month. The individual answering the phone was unbelievably rude and completely unhelpful. STAY AWAY.

I went for my appointment at was treated rude at the front desk, after waiting for 2 hours they told me my doctor couldnt see me. Really bad customer service.

I've been going to thus office since 2008. I've gone through every doctor and nurse practitioner they've ever had here. Right now I'm with Dr. Jillian Marcus. I like her a lot. I like all the doctors here right now.. .and I HATE doctors. The drive is way too long now that I live south-side, but I really don't want to switch.
