Individual and Family Connection

If you are a busy family who cannot afford $200 fees I really suggest you go elsewhere for care. IFC does not put the child first. We started going to IFC in 2021 and had a great relationship with Emily since then. The office staff was great as well and super responsive when I had questions or needed to change an appointment. At the end of 2022 there were a lot of policy changes that made it extremely difficult to change appointments or cancel. The office has a 48 hour cancellation policy and a $200 fee if you cancel after the 48hours. We missed an appointment because of a miscommunication and were charged $200. I sent SEVERAL emails and called(no response) and was repeatedly told there was nothing they could do and I was just out of luck because of a simple mistake. As a FAMILY therapist I think IFC should operate the business with care and compassion for the busy lives of kids and parents. 48 hr cancellation policy is ridiculous. The office seems to care much much more about the money and not the patients. A $200 fee is not inclusive of families with different incomes specially when they are actually paid $145~ from insurance. The office actually profits if you late cancel or miss an appointment.

Our family has had a wonderful experience with IFC. The counselors and staff have been great. Communication and scheduling is easy. They've been supportive in helping us find a schedule that works. Ruth has been such a welcome addition to our lives. Her resources and support has been so valuable and beneficial to our family. We're grateful for IFC and Ruth!

My son had seen therapists in the past. He has NEVER been as enthused and excited to see his therapist, Ruth Mills, than he has these last few months. When a 10yr old reports that Ruth "truly understands and helps come up with strategies", you know this experience is worth it! We are incredibly lucky to have found someone as supportive and kind as Ruth! Highly, highly recommend.

This entire staff - especially Erin!! - goes so far above and beyond no matter what the situation. We have loved our experiences here and cannot say enough good things about her. If you need a supportive environment for your family, this is the place to go. Just wanted to update this review and say that this place continues to shine and help my child so much! We are also so happy with the admin team too, Kate is always so helpful and she makes us feel so welcome. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.
