Truly outrageous experiences with Peoples Gas customer service each and every time. Representatives seem incapable of answering a question straightforward and talk in circles as a distraction. This company is an absolute mess and it's a shame that they have such a monopoly in Chicago. They need to do better but I'm confident that'll never happen.

Fraud, scam will continue to charge you months after you moved out and called them and spoke with agents promising its cancelled. Removed my info and they still try to send payments. Reporting to BBB

I wish I could give them negative 10. It is the worst company ever. Customer service sucks, they have messed up our bills 4 times. They deleted all our billing history online so we can't prove they are charging us what we already paid. They have charged me twice the same amount on the same day 3 times in the past two years. No physical offices to complain. Everytime I call I have to wait 2 hours on the phone.

This is the first 1 star review Ive ever given. Peoples Gas is by far the worst utility company Ive ever had to deal with. After my gas meter was locked due to circumstances unrelated to me, Ive tried getting my service restarted. I had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow (3/31) and even confirmed with their automated system this morning. I received a call in the afternoon saying my appointment was cancelled! They said I didnt submit needed paperwork in time so they cancelled it. However, this paperwork I didnt submit somehow appears in their system and the associate reschedules for 4 days after my original time. Now Ill have to go another weekend with heat, hot water, or a means to cook for myself. Peoples Gas is the worst and I wish the city of chicago had any other option for citizens. Makes no sense that theyre given a monopoly in the industry here and are allowed to do this.

Thats horrible! I had an appointment and Ive been waiting for them the whole day and no one showed up. When I called they said I canceled that but I didnt! I literally waited the whole day. And now I have to wait another week for them to come!!!! Hopefully they wont cancel me again
