It's been close to a year since my issue arose with a 911 Dispatcher/Fire on 02/09/22 @ 5:36 PM. I lost my speech due to a Mild Stroke. The only words I could speak was "Speech" over & over again, while a security guard called 911. The dispatcher had no clue what I was talking about even the guard pleaded for help. She wasted precious time lingering & I was at her mercy for help. No one is close to resolving or acknowledging my issue. I spoke with Carla Salvadori within the Chicago Inspector General's office. There's no case# & Carla said I will have to get a quarterly report, & this was June, 2022. I found out that employees with 911 Fire or Police are recycled/ switched between departments when complaints arise, thus, the City of Chicago avoids liability or lawsuits if they fire 911 Dispatchers. How inventive & sneaky. I will never know if proper disciplinary actions were ever taken against this female 911/Fire Dispatcher, but she is probably still working for 911, putting people in danger who call 911 Emergency. I know Mayor Lightfoot, Chicago Inspector General's office, Carla, knows about this secret. These people who work 911 need to be fired as soon as it's documented that they have failed. They are not qualified nor have the basic training to perform minimally at their job. They are nothing but inept, incompetent people who keep the seat warm & collect a salary. Is Mayor Lightfoot fine with that?

I called to find out about all the flooding that happened on 9/11/22, and shes like hold on, then just transferred me to 311! 311 is really useless! Nobody cares!!! Seriously I have no idea where my tax dollars are going. To pay these useless city employees?

I was involved in an accident and thankfully was able to retrieve street footage of the accidnt. I filled out the requested forms and shortly after received all of the footage needed to send to my insurance. This saved me from a driver who was lying to the police and insurance adjusters. Thank you!!

About a year ago, my sister called OEMC (911 dispatch) requesting help. She was experiencing mental distress (had schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder) and wanted help. Instead of sending help or trying to calm her, the two dispatchers laughed at her and chastised her.
After her calls were made, we (three people) immediately called to dispatch officers for a welfare check, citing that she was suicidal. It took you 90 minutes to dispatch the Fire Department to my sisters apartment: 90 minutes!
We begged to have officers sent out because she said she was suicidal in multiple calls (as provided in FOIA recordings). She was DEAD by the time the Fire Department was dispatched. And the ONLY reason OEMC dispatched them was because they received over a dozen calls from the neighbors/witnesses reporting seeing her lifeless body on the ground -- not because of our calls. She spent 90 minutes contemplating her eventual jump and your dispatchers thought it was funny to deny a wellness check.
The dispatchers didnt take her serious: they didnt take our calls serious. For all parties involved, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I'm sure you still have a job and can sleep at night. Meanwhile my sister is dead, and no accountability has been communicated since that day. It must be nice having qualified immunity. If it was anyone else under any other system, blatantly denying someone a constitutional right, these people would be in jail and not servicing our citizens.
