Belle Atelier

I can confidently say that I had the most welcoming and comforting experience with Belle Atelier. Though I didnt say yes to the dress at this salon, I couldnt help but to write a review for the amazing Lauren! Lauren made my girlfriends and I feel right at home. I loved that she allowed us to sift through and pull our own selection of gowns to try as well as a selection of her own that fit the criteria I gave her perfectly. She made me feel completely comfortable in my own skin, and my bridesmaids also raved about the calming and pleasant experience she created for us. She was also extremely knowledgeable about the designers, materials the gowns were curated with, and details that made each stand apart from the others. I was additionally extremely impressed with the cleanliness/care of the gowns in comparison to other salons I visited. It spoke volumes of the attention to detail this salon has in creating a luxury experience for their brides. A big thank you to the Belle Atelier team!

I had the most amazing experience with Giselle. She helped me pick a beautiful Vivienne Westwood gown and made a custom skirt. I feel like when wedding dress shopping, there's a lot of pressure to find "the perfect dress" and insecurities with trying on sample sizes and so on. This was the 5th place I went to in Chicago and by far the best. A plus is that she's great with difficult moms!

I can't recommend Belle Atelier enough. I was visiting from San Francisco and made an appointment with them since they have such an amazing selection of designers that I was having a hard time finding in one place in California. They were incredible to work with, the studio is just beautiful and Lauren & Giselle were wonderful! In hindsight, I should have skipped the previous 5 appointments and gone straight to Belle where I ended up finding my dream dress.

As two queer women (one of us being trans) weve never felt more comfortable!! We were able to dress together in a nice big room where Lauren helped us pick out the most flattering outfits for my plus sized body while also helping us find the perfect cohesive look. We felt safe, happy and very welcomed! When we needed a second round of dress try-ons we were welcomed and immediately remembered. Its been such a wonderful and inclusive experience. I cannot recommend this store enough. PLEASE consider going if you are queer, plus sized or trans (or anyone else!) you will not regret the experience.
