I moved into my beautiful studio apartment in early September, I was moving from Philadelphia for work and I was nervous about the daunting task of finding an affordable place close enough to my job downtown in River North. I feel so blessed and lucky to have found Dearborn Plaza apartments. I worked in real estate/helping people get apartments for over a year and I can tell you that this is a great find! The office employees are extremely kind and friendly, my tour was very easy to schedule and I was approved in a day or two. My apartment has an extremely competitive and fair rent price (especially for the view), the unit had brand new floors/a very clean and updated bathroom/a great little kitchen with very clean and fully functional appliances when I moved in. My apartment also had two large closets so I have never felt short on storage. Management made moving in easy by scheduling you time with a freight elevator big enough to move anything I could imagine in, and the only utility you pay for is electricity! The building has a very unique and cute build, constructed in the 20s as a luxury hotel for women, the studios are about the size of a large extended stay hotel room. If you are looking for w quaint and updated space you have found it! Dearborn Plaza's maintenance team is second to none, they helped me hang all of my pictures and shelves/lamps within days of me moving in. Between my move-in and December they have replaced every window screen and cleaned the windows of every unit, as well as fully repainted the hallway trims. I hear them vacuuming the hallways on my floor and cleaning a few times every week which is great, they really care about the upkeep of the building and it shows. I haven't seen a single bug in my apartment or otherwise in the building which is great. I recently got a cat and they don't even charge a fee for having one, which is very kind-hearted compared to a lot of other units I've seen. I plan to live in this quiet and well kept space for years to come and I highly recommend this building if you are looking for a studio like I was.

I lived at Dearborn Plaza for a year and a half. I left with a heavy heart. The building staff and maintenance staff went above and beyond with their professionalism and quick response times. I enjoyed my time at this building and recommend it. The location is great and the in-house gym has all of the basics. The rooftop deck has some of my favorite views of Chicago. Its an older building, but still a solid place to call home. I will miss it.

absolute worst management who repeatedly try to take more money from me. They double charged on rent sometimes - i've never heard of anyone else having to deal with this. Then they fail to charge your card you provided for them for rent for months at a time and then bill you a late fee when they're the ones that were late?Absolutely do not live there! THEY WILL TRY TO TAKE FINANCIAL ADVANTAGE OF YOU.

I lived here for 2 years and all I can say is I loved it so much. This was my first apartment in Chicago -- I had to move to another city for work. I loved my studio so much that I wished I could buy it and keep it forever. The view of the city was lovely. It was a cozy comfortable place. Management was always responsive and prompt. They were understanding and flexible -- really accommodating. I hardly had maintenance issues but when I did, I placed a ticket and the issues were taken care of almost the same day as the ticket placed. My neighbors were friendly too. Some became my friends. Some lived in their homes for 4+ years. Trash chutes on every floor. A small gym available and a rooftop. I hardly heard my neighbors and it was usually quiet in my studio. My new place -- the walls are paper thin. Sigh. I miss my studio everyday. It really felt like home. The service you receive here is top notch. When and if I do move back to Chicago, I will be looking into one bedrooms with another apartment building this management company owns!
