Keith sells beautiful rugs, but many of them are defective and stained and his return policy is opaque. I bought a vintage rug and was disappointed to find that it puckered when laid out and that the border stitching was clearly wonky (it looked like it had been sewn together). After talking to a rug expert, it turns out that the rug had probably been shrunk when washed previously. Of course, as the buyer it is my responsibility to assess what Im buying, however, as the seller Keith should, in my opinion, be more amenable to customer needs. When I asked for a refund, he refused. His excuse was that I only had two days to return the rug (nowhere is this stated nor does he explain this when selling) and, more absurdly, I already paid my rug guy. To the latter, I say, not my problem. He allowed me the chance to exchange rugs, but to my further disappointment the ones in the price range had giant stains and holes. I will never buy a rug or piece of furniture from him again nor would I recommend others do the same. There are plenty of other amazing vintage shops in Chicago with owners that sell much higher quality goods and are easy to work with.
