For years, I've battled with bedroom humidifiers because the air gets so dry in winter with the little April Air humidifiers attached that run through the furnaces in our house. I learned of a different kind of April Air - a Power Humidifier - that provides much more humidity to your home and called an HVAC place to ask about it. They said they couldn't install due to space limitations and instead recommended a much more expensive Steam humidifier. I was a little suspect of the recommendation, so I called Midtown Mechanical to get another opinion. First, they explained that while a Steam humidifier might do the job, it is very costly AND there is a lot of maintenance and expense in upkeep, which is an immediate "no" in my book. Second, they said that they can make the Power Humidifier fit, even though the space was small. Third, they explained that since humidity rises, much like heat, it would be beneficial to install one power humidifier for EACH furnace (two in total), which the other company never mentioned. We scheduled a few days out and the team came on time and they were very courteous. They spent hours at my house (due to the space limitations, it took some time!) and they installed two (one for each furnace). Their service was great. Their price was reasonable -- for TWO power humidifiers, they were only a slightly more expensive than the other company was for ONE power humidifier. And, the humidity is amazing. (And, I've called since to ask a question about humidity levels and they patiently helped me and said if i had any questions or issues, they would be happy to help.) I'd highly recommend these guys for any HVAC work you have.

Midtown Mechanical is great. I have been using their services for about twenty years now at my buildings and our home, and I have always been delighted with their work. They just completed a good size HVAC project for us and we are very pleased with the time frame, the technicians and the quality of the workmanship. I've been using Midtown since we moved to Andersonville and needed to put ductwork and AC in two floors. They did a great job then, and always come when we need them. I also like the yearly checks on the boiler, radiators, and AC. Funny Tom and Tim on the phone. And good at their jobs. Highly recommended.
